- THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU! to all our loyal patrons who turned up in record numbers to enjoy the first day of our show weekend. The traders have reported good business and our fliers put on an excellent display with only two mishaps, including a mid-air collision! The icing on the cake was the Sptifire flypast at 3 o'clock. If you missed all this, then never mind, come along tomorrow for another day of superb flying displays and take the opportunity to stock up on goodies for that winter project.
- Battle of Britain 70th Anniversary. We're delighted to announce that a Sptitfire and a Dakota from the Battle of Britain Memorial flight will overfly our show to help mark this important anniversary. The Spitfire will fly past on Saturday afternoon, and the Dakota on Sunday afternoon, both on their way to air displays at other venues. In addition we will have our very own full size aerobatic air display by a Christen Eagle biplane from Sminks Aviation at mid-day on Saturday 4th September. These 1:1 scale activities are in addition to our planned full days of superb flying demonstrations by LMA's Large Models.
