Following the cancellation of the Steam Rally due to the floods, we were unable to sell all our Bric-a-brac to raise funds for the Churches. However, the Model Aero Club came to the rescue and most generously offered us a Stall with them on the 1st & 2nd September. The weather was fantastic and we got ready for business! We are pleased to report that we raised £624 on the Stall and we sold £307 Raffle Tickets.We would like to thank everyone who helped over the weekend, and say a sincere "Thank You" to the Club, who not only invited us to join them, but who have since generously donated £500 to our Roof Appeal Fund. In addition to this, we have been invited to go again next year. Now we will have to collect twice as much as usual if we are to do two events, so please start saving your unwanted treasures for 2008!
