This will be a little shorter than usual, as it is really an update before the September Show. There will be another issue in time for the AGM which will take place on 17th November.
Training Evenings
These continue to be well-supported and congratulations are due to Carl Carpenter who has gained his BMFA "A" (fixed wing ) and Phil Baker who has gained his BMFA "A" (Silent Flight Electric ). Both have been part of the Tuesday group. Let's hope more will be encouraged to take the BMFA certificates. The Tuesday group will carry on into next month.
New Members
We welcome Roman Drezewski and Jeff Mortimore as new members. Some of you will know Jeff from when he was previously a member of HMAC.
Flying Field
The sheep are back so please remember to close the gate. Also, we have put down some mouse bait in the clubhouse - no connection with the sheep, really!
Steam Rally
Very few members turned up. Thanks to those who did. As there were so few it has been decided not to award the Dave Prosser trophy this year.
Committee

Show - September 3rd and 4th
Those of you who have indicated that you can help should find your various passes enclosed. Please call if you need any more information - 01989 740619. Thank you!
The committee has decided that any member attending will receive free personal entry on production of a current HMAC membership card. This will also be needed if you wish to cross the crowd line to the hospitality area. Let us hope we get good support for another successful Show. So far, flying entry levels look very good as do the Trade bookings. We need good weather..........
