There are 6 wooden posts (liftable from ground sockets) - one at each corner and one at mid-point of the long sides of the strip. The mid point one on the pits side of the strip is the anchor post where the two strands of heavy duty wire start and terminate.
To lower the fence:
- The control unit should be switched off (switch is underneath at right front corner) and battery clip disconnected.
- The two strands of wire terminate from the right at the centre post and a clipped loop is fitted on each strand. Those two loops should be unhooked from the black insulators and the wire laid on the ground. The rest of the fence may then be lowered as normal.
To re-erect:
- Be sure to re-insert the posts into the ground sockets with the insulaters pointing towards the strip.
- The two loops should be put back on the insulator making sure the two strands of wire are not crossed. As the corner posts are fixed there should be little need to tension the wires but if necessary they can be tensioned by repositioning the plastic intermediate posts.
- Reconnect the battery clip, switch on the control unit and listen for the regular pulsing sound. Make sure none of the wire is touching the ground.
